The EARCOUSTIC headphones were invented by Justin Lee, Founder and Chief Executive Director of Quantum Senses. Lee was inspired to create a heartfelt solution for a friend, a Vietnam veteran, who struggled to hear the TV at night without disturbing his wife.
Lee, an Aerospace Engineer with a robust educational background, specifically sought to develop an affordable solution for many who do not have health insurance coverage or coverage that does not cover the cost of obtaining expensive hearing aids.

With KEMAR, raw decibel data is collected under two conditions: one where EARCOUSTIC headphones are used and one where they are not. By applying community-approved prediction formulas, this data is converted into scores that mimic those of standard hearing tests.
